SAD DAY IN FUNAAB- peaceful protest wrecks havoc!

It was a normal Thursday morning in the Federal university of agriculture abeokuta,. It is no news of the incessant armed robbery attacks that have been occurring in the students resident area (off-campus) accomodation.
it was reported earlier today of an armed robbery attack in a hostel directly opposite the school gate, various students were injured and valuables worth thousands were carted away. it was even reported that a student was "axed" on the head and couldn't make it,he died before getting to the hospital
students then took to the streets to protest the insecurity issue.

a media house circulated this update in the early hours of today
"Protest currently going on at Gate due to insistent robbery of students at Gate.
The residents of Adejoke were robbed in the early ours of today, with the robbers carting away valuables of the students living in the hostel and inflicting injuries to some of the students at the hostel. It was also reported that there was robbery at Oluwo around 3am today.
Students don't plan on stopping the protest anytime soon.
    #SaveFunaab #SaveFunaabites".
speaking to an affected student he had this to say
"Today was supposed to be a normal day until thieves came to rob and our management refused to do anything about it.
Funaabites just wanted a peaceful protest, we just wanted the Commissioner of Police to take us seriously and look into the case of the continuous robbery. We wanted the management to know that students living off campus lives matter and not ignore us.
Sadly a student was shot in the eye at the scene of the protest. An 100 level student for that matter, someone's child, how would the parents feel?
Now we are to go home as the management has declared a Mid Semester Break.
What us wrong with Funaab? Where did it all go wrong, everyone should please be safe."
